My research focuses on understanding the physical processes driving changes in coastal morphology over a range of a time scales (e.g. storm event to inter-annual coastal evolution). To study these processes, I utilize both field and laboratory techniques, as well as numerical modelling. Some of my specific research interests include:

  • Coastal sediment dynamics and nearshore processes
  • Coastal morphodynamics in reef and rocky environments
  • Coastal response to storms and sea level rise
  • Numerical modelling of coastal hydro- and sediment dynamics
  • Carbonate sedimentology and stratigraphy
  • Development of remote sensing techniques to monitor coastal change over a range of timescales
