My research focuses on understanding the physical processes driving changes in coastal morphology over a range of a time scales (e.g. storm event to inter-annual coastal evolution). To study these processes, I utilize both field and laboratory techniques, as well as numerical modelling. Some of my specific research interests include:
- Coastal sediment dynamics and nearshore processes
- Coastal morphodynamics in reef and rocky environments
- Coastal response to storms and sea level rise
- Numerical modelling of coastal hydro- and sediment dynamics
- Carbonate sedimentology and stratigraphy
- Development of remote sensing techniques to monitor coastal change over a range of timescales
